Manchester United dealt massive blow in pursuit of £12million striker

Manchester United Football Club have been chasing the signature of Japan international and FC Mainz striker Yoshinori Muto throughout the month if reports are to be believed. Now, their manager has ruled out the possibility of Muto leaving Germany this summer.

Martin Schmidt, Mainz manager said: “We’ve put those rumours (Yoshinori Muto to Man United) to bed.”

This is quite disappointing to be honest. You’d feel as though someone like Yoshinori Muto would be the ideal signing for in the middle of a season. He’s 23 and certainly wouldn’t mind being used in a rotational system, but you know when called upon, he can score goals.

With it being late in the window I honestly cannot see United doing any serious business now, which could prove fatal come the end of the season if we don’t make it into the Champions League.
