Manchester United defender a £14m target for FC Barcelona – report

Yesterday, Sky Sports News reported that Daley Blind could be axed by Jose Mourinho if the right offer comes in for the versatile Dutchman, and now that move looks increasingly likely. According to the Spanish media outlet Sport, the 26-year old is a target for FC Barcelona.

They say that although no official bid has been made, the interest from the Catalan side is genuine, and it’d take a £14million bid to tempt Jose Mourinho into selling Daley Blind.

It would be extremely gutting if Manchester United allowed Blind to go so easily. The Dutchman has been an ever-present in the starting line-up this season, and, has more often than not thoroughly impressed.

You’d think that Jose Mourinho could find a spot for him in the squad due to his brilliant versatility and excellent intelligence of the game, but unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Blind loves it here, and he’s probably only just completely settled into life in Manchester. However, for him personally, if Barcelona came knocking, it might be an offer that is too good to say no to.
