Manchester United will certainly be continuing a mass squad overhaul over the summer, and whether Louis van Gaal will be the man in charge remains to be seen. Whoever the boss is, the club could be about to lose one of their key players to FC Barcelona.
The Spanish media outlet Sport say that the Catalan giants are preparing a move to bring in Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo when the transfer window opens in June; but only if Adriano leaves the Camp Nou.
Sport go on to say that they reckon Marcos Rojo would cost Barcelona around €12million, which means Manchester United would make around a £3million loss on the versatile Argentinian.
Whilst it would be a shame to see Rojo go, you’d understand the decision taken if he is allowed to leave. Yes, he’s talented but he isn’t a starter in a team vying for Premier League glory, and it would be wise to sell him whilst he still has value.
