Manchester United drawn at home in FA Cup third round

It feels as though every year I always find myself saying ‘this year I’d love a good cup run’, and shortly after that dream gets shattered. The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been made, and Manchester United will play host to Sheffield United in early January.

Louis van Gaal’s men were dumped out by Arsenal at Old Trafford last term, and he’ll be looking to better that this time around. With a squad that has been moulded in his image, he’ll be confident of progression.

With the way everyone is playing at this point in time, it feels as though we have a real chance to go all the way this year, and it has now been over ten years since we’ve lifted the best domestic cup in club football – hopefully we can change that come May…
