Manchester United Football Club could be ready to welcome two players back into the mix a after both have been unavailable due to injury. Louis van Gaal met the media and confirmed the news, with one of the players set to return directly to the starting line-up this weekend.
Wayne Rooney had a minor hamstring problem which he has now overcome and the skipper is expected to start at Southampton away on Sunday. His role is yet unknown, but I’d like to see him start just in behind Anthony Martial, who performed well against PSV on Tuesday.
The other returning player is somewhat of a forgotten man in Phil Jones, who hasn’t played a single minute of competitive acton this season. The young centre-half had a blood clot in his leg but the manager confirmed his return to training. This game is perhaps too soon for Jones, but hopefully he can push Chris Smalling and Daley Blind hard for a place in the side.
