Manchester United duo start for Spain

The international break is almost over, and club football certainly comes back with a bang, as Manchester United’s next opponents are the fieriest rivals of them all – Liverpool. Before that though, there is one more international friendly.

Spain take on Macedonia tonight, and both Juan Mata and David de Gea will start for the national team who seem to be struggling in major competitions at the moment.

Its particularly nice to see David de Gea line-up as he hasn’t played any football whatsoever this season so far, so it’ll be intriguing to see how he does.

Juan Mata more than deserves his place in the XI for his recent performances for Manchester United. He has been ever-present so far this season and its great to see that recognised by Vicente del Bosque.

Hopefully the pair can both put on a good display, De Gea will be looking to keep a clean sheet and Mata hoping to lay on an assist or two for his team-mates. But most importantly lets hope the pair come through the match unscathed and ready to go at the weekend.
