Manchester United’s transfer window has just burst into life in stunning fashion. All of the sudden, the Red Devils have reportedly agreed a fee to sign Romelu Lukaku. Now, that has ended Jose Mourinho’s interest in other targets.
According to the usually reliable Simon Stone of the BBC, Manchester United have ended their interest in Alvaro Morata as a result of securing Everton man Lukaku.
Fee of around £75m agreed by @ManUtd and @Everton for Romelu Lukaku. Not connected to Rooney. Club won't pursue interest in Alvaro Morata.

Whilst I’m delighted that Edward Woodward is finally back to business in the transfer market, I cannot help but feel that we should be going after two strikers.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract hasn’t been renewed and on top of that, it looks for all the world that Wayne Rooney is going to seal a dream move back to Goodison Park this summer. So, if we only bring in the one forward, we’d be a man down.
Maybe it is purely a case of money, because the aforementioned deal for Lukaku is hardly cheap, and you’d expect to pay something similar to prise Morata away from the grasps of Real Madrid.
At the end of the day, I was warming to the idea of us landing Morata, but you cannot go wrong with someone who is tried and tested in the English game, and Lukaku has played here in this country for years now.
