Manchester United’s injury problems have been very well documented of late, with Jose Mourinho’s men undergoing a proper crisis with several first-team stars sidelined. Things have gotten even worse over the international break apparently, and the club will be without seven players this weekend.
According to the Daily Express, Manchester United have a major injury crisis on their hands with Arsenal visiting Old Trafford this Saturday lunchtime. The report says that seven first-team regulars are unavailable, giving Jose Mourinho a real problem.
The first pair out are defensive duo Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling, who have ligament damage and a broken toe respectively. They aren’t expected back before the start of December.
Full-backs Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia are also out of action. Valencia broke his arm, and there is no return date documented for the Ecuadorian. Shaw is a doubt due to a lack of match fitness.
Wayne Rooney was sent home from the England camp in the middle of the week, and he is expected to be sidelined for this one. Marouane Fellaini was also given leave from Belgium’s squad due to an ongoing injury issue.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended, meaning he’ll have to sit this one out. That’ll give either Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford a chance to start up front.
