Manchester United eye German as David de Gea replacement

Manchester United somehow managed to keep hold of David de Gea over the summer, largely due to resilience of the club as well as a dodgy fax machine on Real Madrid’s part. However, according to the Daily Mirror, plans to bring in a replacement are already underway.

They say that the Old Trafford board have identified Marc Andre Ter Stegen as their first choice replacement for David de Gea if he decides to leave for Real Madrid this summer.

The 23-year old German currently plays his football for FC Barcelona, but isn’t first choice by any means as he seems to rotate quite often with Claudio Bravo.

However that hasn’t dampened his spirits, and he is clearly one of the most talented young keepers in the game at the moment – arguably up there with the likes of David de get and Thibaut Courtois.
