Manchester United Football Club were struck down by a major blow last night, as Luke Shaw broke his leg in two places in the 2-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven. However, as cruel as it sounds, football does go on and Manchester United already have their eyes on cover.
According to the Daily Star, Louis van Gaal is ready to make a move for the young Leeds United left-back, Charlie Taylor.
Taylor, 21, has been on United’s radar for a while now, with the club sending scouts to watch him on numerous occasions, and after the Shaw injury the manager is ready to make his move for the youngster.
A bid in the region of £4million is thought to be enough to land Taylor, who has put in some impressive performances for Uwe Rosley’s Leeds United to start the season off.
Manchester United will now have to get through to January with the current options available at their disposal. In all likelihood Daley Blind will move to left-back with Marcos Rojo coming into the centre to provide more height.
