According to the Daily Star, Southampton captain and playmaker Adam Lallana has attracted interest from Manchester United and David Moyes. Lallana, 25, has a Saints deal that expires in 2018, so he won’t come cheap if United want to follow up the interest. He is thought to be valued at around the £15m mark.
Obviously Southampton want to keep hold of one of their key players, hence why the cost for the midfielder is so high. However recent performances Lallana have put in suggest he does have the quality to play at the highest level week-in week-out.
For me there are better options out there though, and we need to address the midfield situation first and foremost, as Lallana is more of an attacker when we need a top class holding midfielder as a priority.
Lallana earned his first England cap earlier this year.
