Manchester United eyeing duo of world class strikers ahead of summer window

Manchester United Football Club have been lacking in the goals department at times this season, with their main source coming from Anthony Martial out on the left-wing. The hierarchy at Old Trafford are clearly looking to change that, by bringing in a huge name in that area.

According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are in the hunt to sign that front man who can provide goals aplenty, with both Romelu Lukaku of Everton, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund on their hit-list.

Romelu Lukaku didn’t have the best of games against Louis van Gaal’s men at Wembley over the weekend, but over the last few years we’ve seen exactly what he is capable of in the Premier League. Lets not forget he is still only 22-years of age, and he is still developing and learning the game.

On the other hand you have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is much closer to the finished article, and is approaching the peak of his powers at 26. His style of play is more based around speed and quickness, as well as having a deadly right foot.

Both strikers wouldn’t come cheap, but Manchester United are a club blessed with deep pockets, and could definitely afford to pay the asking price for one of the strikers, if not the pair.
