Manchester United somehow managed to keep hold of David de Gea over the summer, but as you’d imagine, his long-term future at Old Trafford will always be in doubt. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Manchester United have already found the man to replace David de Gea.
The Italian newspaper say that United are keeping tabs on Genoa’s Mattia Perin – a 23-year old goalkeeper who is highly regarded in his homeland of Italy.
Perin has already made his full debut for his country, and was amongst the travelling squad during the last World Cup in Brazil back in 2014.
Manchester United have already sent scouts to a few Genoa games to carefully watch the shot-stopper, but they’ll certainly face stiff competition for his signature from Liverpool, who are keen to bring in someone capable of challenging Simon Mignolet for the #1 jersey at Anfield.
