Manchester United eyeing sensational Pogba-esque move to bring back former academy star

Over the summer, Manchester United broke the world record to bring back their former academy graduate Paul Pogba. Jose Mourinho didn’t mind spending big to bring the Frenchman back, and he may be about to do something similar once again.

Reports suggest that Manchester United are eyeing a sensational £25million move to bring by Michael Keane, who is playing some brilliant defensive football at Burnley this season.

United let the 23-year-old leave Old Trafford just last year for a minimal fee, and would have to offer a considerable amount to even tempt the Clarets into parting one of their vital assets.

We’ve seen first hand just how good a defender Keane is. He was part of the Burnley team that frustrated our front line at Old Trafford a few weeks ago and held them to a 0-0 draw.

It would be annoying if we do make a move for him, though, because he was right under our noses on the cusp of the first-team. Although that’s not Jose’s fault, it just seems daft to not give him a proper run in the side first because when he did play, he looked good.
