Manchester United face competition to sign Pedro Rodriguez

Manchester United have been hot on the heels of Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez over the last couple of weeks, as Louis van Gaal clearly sees him as an ideal replacement for Angel di Maria who left for Paris Saint-Germain.

However Manchester United could face some stiff competition for the 28-year old’s signature, as according to Marca, Manchester City are now interested in signing the Spanish international.

Pedro has grown unhappy with life at the Camp Nou due to a lack of playing time, and last season he featured largely from off the bench due to Messi, Neymar and Suarez lighting it up all-year long.

There is no doubting that Pedro would be a fantastic signing for whoever gets him, and I just hope our senior officials haven’t left this one too late, allowing Manchester City to swoop and steal him from under our noses.

Would Pedro be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

  1. Of course they’ve left it too late! That doesn’t mean they won’t get him but these things should be wrapped up a lot sooner. Too much dilly-dallying as usual from United.
