Manchester United Football Club have made an extremely bright start to life under Jose Mourinho, with the self-proclaimed Special One winning all three of his Premier League fixtures so far – and the fact that his players have been relatively injury free has helped a huge amount.
However, the Daily Express say Manchester United have a mini injury crisis on their hands ahead of the biggest game of the season so far; the Manchester derby.
The first man who is expected to miss the heavyweight clash is Armenian international, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The 28-year-old was hauled off whilst playing for his country due to a thigh injury, which will keep him out for around another week.
Next up we have Luke Shaw, who was recently pulled from the England squad due to a minor problem, but Sam Allardyce seems to think he will be fit and available. There is also an issue with Antonio Valencia, who’ll be feeling extremely fatigued as he only gets back into Manchester from South America on Friday.
Obviously, the situation isn’t ideal. Jose Mourinho prides himself on keeping all of his players fit and available for huge games like these, but this time it is purely out of his hands due to the international period.
