Manchester United facing stiff competition from Munich for striker signature

Manchester United reportedly made a £20+million move to bring Sadio Mane in over the summer, but to be honest the move looked like a half-hearted attempt, and it didn’t look like Louis van Gaal was completely sold on the Senegal striker.

However the 23-year old has had a fantastic start to the season, and rumours have suggested that Manchester United are prepared to go back in for him come January.

They’ll certainly face some tough competition for his signature now however, and according to the Daily Telegraph, Pep Guardiola and Bayern Munich are also now in the chase to bring Mane in.

This just shows how much his stock has risen over the last few months, so-much-so that some of the best clubs in the world are now chasing his signature. It will be hard to lure him in January however, as no clubs like to sell their top players mid-season.
