Manchester United fan favourite finally gets first national team call-up

Manchester United have a whole host of top quality players and proven internationals on their books, and with several faces jetting off to all corners of the planet to play for their countries, we’re now without our beloved reds for around two weeks.

One man who is yet to play for his native Spain is Ander Herrera, and the midfield maestro is finally set for his first bit of action for the senior side managed by Julen Lopetegui.

That’s according to Cadena Ser who say that the 27-year-old has been called up after Saul Niguez picked up an injury. What a great piece of news for Herrera, and hopefully, he’ll get some minutes to prove exactly how capable he is at the highest level.

He’s the perfect player for the Spanish national team, and the fans will absolutely love his high energy and brilliant work rate, just like the Manchester United faithful who adore him.
