Yesterday, our young Brazilian right-back Rafael was adamant that Manchester United could win the league under Louis van Gaal, but not necessarily this season. And today, Rafael has reflected upon his life at the club so far, and admits that he wants to stay here for many years to come providing the club want him.
Rafael has always been a huge hit with the fans. He’s one of those overseas players that gets what Manchester United are about, and he always gives his all for the badge on his chest. Its crazy that at only 24, he has been in and around the first-team for the past six years, and he spent a couple of years in the youth academy before then.
If he continues his fine form since his return from injury, theres no doubting that in the not too distant future he’ll be having a testimonial at Old Trafford.
Rafael said:
“I love my life here (at United). I’ve been here almost 10 years now, I’m almost a mancunian. I want to stay here, if they want me.”
Heres to plenty more years at the club, Rafa!
