When Cristiano Ronaldo received a straight red card for an apparent hair-pull against Valencia CF, my heart was in my mouth…
He’s a Manchester United legend, the thought of him missing out on an Old Trafford return was a painful one. These Champions League nights are why us match-goers pay for tickets, particularly when CR7 was heading ‘home’.
However, today, there has been good news. Ronaldo is free to play in the encounter at the Theatre of Dreams, after only being handed a one-match ban. That’s according to Sky Sports News.
BREAKING: @Cristiano Ronaldo has been banned for 1 match by @UEFA, meaning he is available for both of @juventusfcen's meetings with @ManUtd in the @ChampionsLeague. ⚽? pic.twitter.com/OaEycAgf2m

Obviously, the game will be much tougher for us with Ronaldo on the field. That’s a given, he’s the best player on the planet.
But, you want to see the greatest footballers, that’s what us fans live for. The game would have been far less exciting without him in the starting line-up. Now, I simply cannot wait until this match.
Ronaldo’s a stunning footballer and his time at United will always be looked back on with fondness. We helped make him what he is today, and watching him numerous honours, competing with another stunning footballer in the form of Lionel Messi, is just super.
Now, time is ticking as we draw closer to his return back ‘home’.
