Manchester United continued their mightily impressive start to the season, by sticking four past a hapless CSKA Moscow side in Russia. Away games that far East tends to be a huge struggle more often than not, but the Red Devils seem to be putting everyone to the sword at the moment.
A large part of that is down to the outstanding form of Romelu Lukaku. The star striker scored another two goals this evening, making it ten in nine in the Manchester United jersey for the former Everton man.
He’s just so clinical. Give him half a chance and more often than not you know the net is going to bulge. He’s brilliant in the air, good with either foot and just an all-round nuisance to the opposing defence.
CSKA just didn’t know how to handle him, and the 24-year-old ran them ragged all night. As you’d imagine, Twitter was full of praise for the new cult-hero for Manchester United fans. We’ve compiled some of the best reactions we saw on social media below.
