Manchester United rung the changes for their Carabao Cup clash against Swansea City, but still came away with a positive result.
The Red Devils won the game 2-0, in a comfortable manner. Jose Mourinho must have been absolutely delighted on the whole, but there were some brilliant individual displays, too.
One of those top performances came from young Scott McTominay. The young man has been on the fringes of things over the last twelve months, and games like this give him a real opportunity.
On this occasion, he grasped it with both hands, giving Mourinho something extra to think about going forward. The 20-year-old was composed on the ball, willing to burst forward and solid defensively. He’s only going to learn from the experience, and become a better player because of it.
With injuries absolutely decimating the United squad at the moment, more opportunities could well be on the horizon for the young man, and I’d have full confidence in him to come in and play to an adequate level. This is just the start of an extremely promising career.

About as comfortable as it could have been for United. Tuanzebe was very good. McTominay impressive, too. Positive night for Mourinho.
