Well, a message has well and truly been sent to Jose Mourinho. The self-proclaimed Special One had been reluctant to play Anthony Martial recently, but today, the Frenchman got a start and more than took his chance as he grabbed a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win.
You have to say that his overall performance was a positive one, as he looked to really get at the Watford defence from the first minute right through to the last.
Marcus Rashford has often been deployed out in that position recently, but the Englishman just isn’t a natural out there; whereas for Martial, he just looks born to play as an out and out wide man.
The way he just glides past players is a real joy to watch, and he seems to be a real intelligent player both on and off the ball. The former AS Monaco man sent out a real message to the manager this afternoon – and he has to be firmly in Jose’s thoughts from here on out.
As you’d expect, the Red Devils were absolutely buzzing all over Twitter, and they sent their praises to the French forward.

Mkhitaryan was dropped by Mourinho and came back fighting. Martial dropped by Mourinho and came back fighting. That's what we like to see.
