Manchester United Football Club paid a world record fee to land Paul Pogba over the summer, with Jose Mourinho putting real trust in the 23-year-old who moved from Manchester to Turin in 2012. Now he’s back ‘home’ and the fans are clearly delighted to have him.
Today, the Red Devils beat Sunderland in a convincing manner by a 3-1 scoreline, and as you’d imagine, Paul Pogba was at the heart of everything good for Mourinho’s men.
As the game wore on, the Frenchman got better and better and as his opponents tired, the grip he had on the match got tighter and tighter. He was allowed more space and freedom to do his work, maraud forward and pick those passes.
The way he dominates the middle of the park has been a privilege to watch at times this season, and against Sunderland, that was on display once again. He finished the match with an assist to his name, but he could’ve bagged himself a goal or two if he had managed to keep a couple of his efforts down slightly.
That doesn’t take away from his overall performance though, and as you’d imagine, the fans were absolutely buzzing all over social media last night.

Nice to see Pogba playing well yet again. Drives United forward so well, and some of his passing is exquisite. #FullTimeSween

Pogba bossed it today. Just couldn't get the goal his performance deserved. Zlatan excellent in the end too. A goal and 2 assists. Not bad.
