Well, Marcus Rashford is our new number ten, and what a game to wear that new honour for the first time in; away to Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old was sparingly used at the World Cup, but that doesn’t change the fact that his future is extremely bright.
The first thing to note is that the Englishman wasn’t actually due to feature during pre-season but he made himself available due to the injury crisis that’s currently decimating the squad. If that doesn’t deserve a round of applause, I’m not sure what does.
It’s this first-class attitude that’ll serve him extremely well throughout his career. It all starts with having the right mindset, thankfully, our #10 has his head screwed on.
Now to the performance itself, well, on the whole, it wasn’t great from the team, and as you’d imagine, Rashford was somewhat rusty. That’s to be expected, but it didn’t stop him from working tirelessly throughout. He was playing against some elite level defenders, too, whom were always going to make it tough for him.
Anyway, the overall consensus on Twitter was that his attitude his right but the performance wasn’t there just yet. Don’t worry, though, it’ll come…

Great to have Rashford back and available, the youngster will give us some much-needed pace from the wing. Has to start against Leicester.
