Well, Jose Mourinho has often been known as being rather harsh on young talents in the footballing world, and we could be seeing another case of that here – regarding Anthony Martial. The Frenchman hasn’t been in the Manchester United manager’s good books recently.
Despite a decent performance at home to Wigan in the FA Cup at the weekend, Jose Mourinho confirmed the news that Martial wouldn’t be starting against Hull City tonight.
This must’ve been a real kick in the teeth for the young man who was the star of the season last campaign. Under Louis van Gaal, Martial flourished from the start, kicking things off with that excellent goal against our fiercest of rivals; Liverpool.
However, this year, Martial’s chances have been very limited, particularly in the bread and butter of the Premier League. This season, he only has two goals in that competition and is falling down the pecking order with the return to form of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
As you’d imagine, the Manchester United fans are somewhat divided regarding the whole situation. Some are firmly in the corner of Martial himself, whereas others are giving the manager their backing. Check out some of the tweets below.

If we sell Anthony Martial we will regret it more than Pogba. He is already terrorising left flanks across the country, imagine in 5 years!
