Manchester United Football Club have missed out on the signature of one of the best managers in the world, as Manchester City confirmed that they have acquired the services of Pep Guardiola on a three year contract starting from 2016/17.
It always looked likely that Manchester City were eventually going to get their man, but it would have been daft if United just let it happen, particularly given Louis van Gaal’s current form.
It now feels as though we’ve missed out on two of football’s elite managers in Pep and Carlo Ancelotti, and there is only one man left who Manchester United simply have to make their move for. The self proclaimed ‘Special One’.
As you’d imagine, United fans went into meltdown over Twitter to express their unhappiness at United and the Glazer family.
