Over the summer when Manchester United splashed big money to bring in Paul Pogba, the Red Devils’ fans certainly got excited. The 23-year-old was regarded as one of the best central midfielders on the planet, but it is definitely fair to say he has had a mixed time of things this season.
Some games he has been absolutely immense, whereas other he just tends to go missing and not do an awful lot. Unfortunately, tonight was the latter and he never really managed to get into the game.
Alright, the pitch wasn’t ideal but at the end of the day, the Rostov lads had to put up with the same conditions and they played a lot better than us.
It is just a shame to witness such dross from a player of real quality, and I wonder why he has been so inconsistent all season. Perhaps that is purely down to age and inexperience, and hopefully, by next season, he’ll have ironed these mistakes out.
As you’d imagine, social media was awash with tweets aimed at the Frenchman and it is fair to say that most of them were not positive.

At the end of the day, bringing home a 1-1 draw isn’t the worst result in the world, but going forward, we have to get more out of Pogba. Here is to hoping he ups his performance against Chelsea in the cup on Monday night.
