Manchester United pulled out another excellent display today, with Louis van Gaal’s side beating a resilient Everton 1-0, thanks to a goal from Anthony Martial. The first half was a dull affair, but the game changed when the Iron Tulip made a substitution at left-back.
Louis van Gaal called upon the services of Timothy Fosu-Mensah, as Marcos Rojo wasn’t performing to a level anywhere near good enough; and it changed everything for the better.
The young Dutchman gave United an injection of speed and raw ability from the get-go, and really made himself a threat going forward, as well as looking solid defensively.
His performance was rewarded with an excellent assist for Anthony Martial’s goal, as he played in a firm and low ball right across the goal for the Frenchman.
The Old Trafford faithful were full of praise for the youngster all over social media, so we’ve compiled some of the best ones below.

Fosu-Mensah was immense today & has been everytime he's come on. Deserves to start against Villa in a couple of weeks.

Fosu-Mensah was #mufc's best performer in the second-half. Looks so at ease at senior level. Van Gaal deserves credit for playing him at RB.
