Manchester United Football Club confirmed the sale of Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton earlier today, with the French midfielder ending somewhat of a nightmare at Old Trafford. This move was definitely in the best interests of all involved, and it makes sense given the transfer fees mentioned.
The 27-year-old has rarely featured for the Red Devils this term, playing just eight times in all competitions – and most of those have been substitute appearances late in games.
It’s a shame really, because he certainly came to the Theatre of Dreams with high hopes. Many (myself included) thought he’d be the long-term replacement for Michael Carrick which is something we’ve been crying out for. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t feel like he has ever been good enough here, despite the obvious fact that he is very talented.
When the move was confirmed, the Manchester United fans took to Twitter to wish him luck for his efforts. It’s always good when a player leaves on decent terms, and no doubt he’ll get an excellent reception whenever he visits Old Trafford as an opposing player. That’s the least he deserves.

I hope Schneiderlin has a successful career but can't say he has left much of a lasting impression on me

So Fellani signs another year contract and we sell Schneiderlin could this day get any worse for a Manchester United Fan

Sad to see Schneiderlin go, but it was the right thing to do. Just didn't work out for him at United. Great professional, top lad. #mufc

Think Schneiderlin will be a great signing for you @ToffeeTVEFC. Get Gareth Barry out of your team quick sharp and Morgan with Gueye ? pic.twitter.com/XklGl7FS8Q

But did United even give Schneiderlin a chance ? ? he wasn't even a bench warmer most games ? at least now he'll get game time
