Manchester United Football Club pulled off one of those traditional come from behind victories off last night, but this time at U21 level. United had a 2-0 lead against Liverpool U21s, thanks to goals from Marouane Fellaini and Nick Powell, before the scousers made it 2-2 in the 89th minute.
All hope looked lost, and it looked as though the two fierce rivals would share the spoils, but that wasn’t the case. Sean Goss, the young Manchester United midfielder, popped up and scored a last minute winner to give the reds the bragging rights.
A victory over Liverpool is sweet at any level, particularly when it comes so late in a dramatic game – its always good to get one over on you’re local rivals.

Compared to the first team, the U21s play a lot more direct & quicker. Nice to see but a tad sad at the same time. #mufc
