Manchester United flop speaks out about time at Old Trafford

Manchester United made one of the most bizarre transfer moves of the decade, when they signed Bebe for £8million, without even watching him train or play. He came by the recommendation of Carlos Quieroz, and Sir Alex Ferguson decided to sign him.

Bebe, now playing his football for Benfica, has spoken out about his time in Manchester.

“The move to United happened very fast. It was a surprise. One day I was training and then I was signing a 5 year contract.” Bebe began. “It was the dream of many children. When I got there I was with the best players in the world. It took me a while to get used to it.”

“Players like Ferdinand, Giggs and Rooney, who a few months earlier I saw on TV and then I was running, jumping, talking with them.”

As we all know, it didn’t really work out for Bebe at Manchester United. However he is making a fine impression back in his homeland of Portugal. At the end of the day it wasn’t his fault that he failed to deliver at Old Trafford, and we wish him the best for the future.
