Manchester United Football Club made a bold move to hire Louis van Gaal as their manager just over a year ago, with the Dutchman coming in and doing exactly what was asked of him in the first season – getting the side back into the Champions League.
However this year has been a completely different story until this point. United have been dumped out of Europe’s premier competition, as well as playing extremely dull football from the get-go.
According to The Times, the Iron Tulip could be in danger of losing his job in the summer, but only if Manchester United fail to make it into the top three of the Premier League.
That top three spot guarantees an automatic place in the group stage of the Champions League for the following season, and thats clearly what the Manchester United board want to achieve. Who knows, they could have their eye on a replacement come the summer, but who that could be is literally anyones guess…
