Manchester United forgotten man named in squad to face Wolfsburg

Manchester United take on Wolfsburg tomorrow, in a make or break Champions League clash in which a loss could see us dumped out of the competition. Louis van Gaal has named his nineteen man squad for the journey, and it contains a surprise or two.

Perhaps the biggest shock is the inclusion of Nick Powell, but its great to see the midfielder back in the thick of things for the first team. The young man has so much potential still, despite suffering a whole host of injuries that have certainly hampered his development.

For Louis van Gaal to include him in the travelling squad is a great show of faith in Powell, and that’ll surely boost his confidence levels an awful lot.

It’d be great if he can get on the pitch, even if its just for a few minutes – because then he’ll know that he still has a future at Old Trafford.
