Manchester United Football Club have been handed an early, major injury boost ahead of visiting Chelsea in a few weeks time. It comes in the form of Alvaro Morata, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that it’s likely the Spaniard will miss the game through injury.
As we all know, the 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams over the summer, but after Jose Mourinho signed Romelu Lukaku, the former Real Madrid man headed to Chelsea instead.
Now it seems the forward will miss out on the opportunity to prove Mourinho wrong, as he’ll be out injured for the all-important clash at the start of next month.
Of course, matches are far more exciting when the best players are on display, but Stamford Bridge has always been a hideous away ground to visit for the Red Devils, and I’m sure that this season will be no different so we’ll take all the help that we can get.
At this point in time, Lukaku has scored an impressive 7 league goals to Morata’s 6, which goes to show just how brilliantly talented the pair are. Let’s look at it this way, I’d rather be facing Michy Batshuayi then Morata…
