Manchester United given double injury boost ahead of trip to Everton

Manchester United face a stern test when they visit Goodison Park on Saturday, and ahead of the game Louis van Gaal has been given a major injury boost, with a couple of players reportedly fit to start if their services are required.

Both Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick missed England’s two games due to knocks, but they have been declared available by the manager, and are ready to go.

Michael Carrick has been an ever-present in the midfield just as you’d expect, and with a slight injury to Bastian Schweinsteiger it is key that he is available and ready to go.

Wayne Rooney has come in for plenty of criticism over the last few weeks, with the 29-year old struggling for any kind of form whatsoever. Whether thats down to fitness issues, or a lack of any real confidence remains to be seen, but hopefully he can find the goal scoring touch sooner rather than later.
