Manchester United given Eric Bailly injury update, and it doesn’t look good

Just when you thought Manchester United’s afternoon couldn’t get any worse, Eric Bailly had to be hauled off midway through the second half with what looked like an innocuous knee injury after a clash with Chelsea’s star man Eden Hazard.

At first glance, the injury didn’t look all that serious. However, after the game Jose Mourinho had a clear worry about his Ivorian centre-back, as he said that his knee injury ‘did not look good at all‘.

Now we’ve been provided with a fresh update, and it comes from Duncan Castles who writes for the Daily Record. He has given the Manchester United fans a huge blow, by claiming that the 22-year-old will be out of action for at least a month which is incredibly cruel on the young man.

Bailly has been without doubt, our best centre-back so far this season, and to lose him for some huge fixtures coming up must be gutting for Jose Mourinho. Although no direct timeframe has been put on the problem as of yet, let’s hope it isn’t a season-ending problem, because that would be an absolutely colossal blow.
