Manchester United have been chasing that big name signing since Louis van Gaal took control just over a year ago, and the Iron Tulip could be one step closer to achieving that goal, as a former hero has given the club the green light to come and get him.
According to the Daily Mirror, Ronaldo is open to an Old Trafford return, and furthermore, the Glazer family have sanctioned the money to bring the Manchester United legend back home.
Ronaldo won everything there is to be won at Manchester United during his six year stay, including the coveted Ballon D’or trophy for being the best player in the world.
He was happy here, the fans loved him, but we always knew he’d one day achieve his dream of playing for Madrid. He’s done that now, but he doesn’t seem as happy there as he did in Manchester, and he could well be open to a return.
