Manchester United given major blow as defender suffers hamstring problem

Just when you thought Manchester United’s treatment table couldn’t get anymore full, the club are hit with another major injury blow. Matteo Darmian was substituted due to what looked like a hamstring problem in the first half of the game against Wolfsburg – adding to the clubs horrific injury list.

The full-back has been struggling in recent weeks, primarily due to being deployed at left-back rather than on the right-hand side, but it now looks as though we’ll be without the services of the Italian for the next few weeks, depending on how serious the issue is.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson came on for his Champions League debut on the game, as the manager left Ashley Young on the bench in what was a bit of an odd decision. Whether the manager is saving Young for the Premier League game this weekend remains to be seen…
