Manchester United Football Club has been handed a favourable draw in the Champions League. Jose Mourinho’s men will take on Spanish side Sevilla over two legs, the official Twitter account confirmed.
After topping their group, it looks as though that, on paper at least, United have done well to avoid the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
For away fans, a trip to sunny Seville in February is a fantastic prospect. At the very least, it’ll be an excellent day out for the Red Army, who’ll be confident in securing a result.
#MUFC will face Sevilla in the @ChampionsLeague round of 16. The Reds will travel to Spain for the first leg on 13/14 or 20/21 February, with the second leg taking place on 6/7 or 13/14 March. #UCL pic.twitter.com/AZmmvGSVEz

The Champions League looks very open this year. I can see a surprise team winning it, with five English clubs right amongst the leading pack. It could be our best opportunity at securing a major piece of silverware this term, and don’t be surprised to see Jose Mourinho go all out for continental glory, similarly to what happened last term.
Playing the second leg at home is always a huge advantage, and hopefully, United will be able to use that to their gain. If we need a result, the Old Trafford crowd will get behind the lads, and if we’re already in front in the tie, I’d fully expect us to have enough to progress.
