Manchester United could have just received some brilliant news in regards to keeping hold of David de Gea for the long-term. The Spaniard has often been targeted for a move away by Real Madrid, but now, the La Liga side could have turned their attentions elsewhere.
According to reports coming out of Italy, namely via Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will not be renewing his contract there, and furthermore, Real Madrid have opened talks to try and sign the teenager.

I just hope and pray that Madrid get their man, because Donnarumma is a wonderfully talented individual, and it means that the chances of us keeping hold of De Gea would grow quite considerably.
As we all know, our current #1 is up there with the best in the world when it comes to footballers who ply their trade in between the sticks, and on top of that, the fans absolutely adore him.
To hear that Madrid have seemingly turned their attentions elsewhere is a huge boost for Jose Mourinho and the coaching staff at Old Trafford. It’s not like they’ve gone for a quick fix, either. Donnarumma is the type of guy that could well spend the next decade out in the Spanish capital, by which point, De Gea could be past his peak.
