The games are coming thick and fast over the hectic winter period, and next up is a game against a Southampton side who are playing some decent stuff.
Ahead of the clash, Manchester United have been handed a huge double injury boost, reported by the Manchester Evening News.
They say that Anthony Martial, who missed the Red Devils’ 2-2 Boxing Day draw against Burnley, is back in training and seemingly ready to go.
On top of that, we also have Matteo Darmian back who wasn’t in the squad just a couple of days ago either.
It just gives manager Jose Mourinho another couple of players to work with, which is great as the fixtures do pile up at this time of year.
For me, Martial has to start. He’s just outstanding cutting in from that left-hand side, and we certainly missed his creativity and spark during the Burnley game.
As for Darmian, I hope he’ll come back to the bench. It doesn’t make sense to drop Luke Shaw following his recent displays, so give the young man a real chance to make that position his own; its the least he deserves.
