Manchester United handed mixed injury news for visit to West Ham

Manchester United Football Club got another win under their belt on New Years Eve, thanks to late heroics from both Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba. The games are coming thick and fast, and tomorrow night, another tricky fixture away to West Ham United is on the cards.

Ahead of that match, Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst has tweeted out some early squad news, and he says that Michael Carrick has travelled with the team whereas Wayne Rooney will be left at home.

Manchester United’s midfield maestro Carrick missed the aforementioned victory against Middlesbrough on New Years Eve, but it would seem as though the veteran could well be back in contention for selection which is great.

It’s not so good for Wayne Rooney however, who also missed the game yesterday. It doesn’t look as though he’ll be involved in this one either, but hopefully, he’ll be back and ready to play in the FA Cup this coming weekend.

Check out Luckhurst’s tweet here:

Games against the Hammers are never easy, and I’d expect this one to be no different. Jose Mourinho only has a limited amount of time to get his players ready but in my opinion our quality should shine through and we will bring all three points home.
