Manchester United Football Club have been handed an injury boost, as Sevilla’s Jesus Navas has been ruled out of the game at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
That’s according to MUTV’s Stewart Gardener, who tweeted the news last night. Navas, formerly of Manchester City, was part of the squad that drew 0-0 with United on Spanish soil just a fortnight ago.

Him missing out gives Jose Mourinho one less player to plan for, and as we know all too well, Navas can be a real problem to play against when he’s on form; largely due to his electric pace.
Sure, you never want to wish injuries on anyone, but anything that helps Manchester United progress through to the next round is a boost. Hopefully, the Red Devils can capitalise as they have home-field advantage. As long as there are no silly mistakes at the back then I’d feel extremely confident in winning the tie and making it into the last eight.
With that said, there are still some excellent players named in that Sevilla squad and I’m brilliantly relieved that Eric Bailly is now back fit and playing again, as he’s comfortably our best centre-half.
