Manchester United Football Club have been handed a timely injury boost, with Diogo Dalot to take part in first-team training this week.
The talented 19-year-old had been nursing injury since joining the Red Devils, but now, he’s finally back in training and ready to show the Old Trafford Faithful what he can do.
Not only is he involved with the first-team drills, but he has already been impressing coaches with his fitness levels, per The Metro.
With Antonio Valencia injured, Matteo Darmian has been first-choice right-back recently. Even his United future is still up in the air. That showed in his performance against Leicester City on Friday night.
Dalot is young, hungry and ready to prove his worth. It may well take him some time to get adapted to the English game, but at the end of the day, he simply cannot do any worse than his Italian counterpart. I say we throw him in at the deep end and see whether he sinks or swims.
Although he has returned to training, it may well be a few weeks before we see him in competitive action. Perhaps involvement in the Carabao Cup would be a good place for him to start?
