Manchester United have already identified Jose Mourinho’s replacement should he leave: report

Manchester United Football Club have had a mixed summer under Jose Mourinho; particularly where pre-season results are concerned.

We’ve seen in the past with the self-proclaimed Special One that the third season often results in trouble and disagreements, we’ll be waiting anxiously to see if that materialises again.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have already identified their number one replacement should Mourinho leave Old Trafford this season. The man they’re targeting? Zinedine Zidane.

The French manager has won three Champions League titles on the bounce. That’s some achievement, given he’s only been in the game for two-and-a-half years!

There would be somewhat of a risk in bringing him in, however. The gulf in quality been Madrid’s and United’s squad is a colossal one. Who knows whether he’d be able to turn our players into better ones, or is he just a manager that relies on his superstars winning the game for him? Don’t forget that, in his third season in the Spanish capital, Real finished way off the La Liga pace…

At this point, though, there’s hardly any top level coaches available. That’s why you stick with Mourinho throughout this season and see where he takes us. After all, he’s won a top-flight title at every club he’s been at.
