Manchester United could well be looking for a new manager in the summer, depending on how Louis van Gaal’s side manage to finish the season. According to Cadena Cope in Spain, Manchester United have already agreed a deal to bring Jose Mourinho in as his replacement.
The Spanish media outlet will know Mourinho well from his time at Real Madrid, and could well be the first to scoop the news regarding him agreeing a deal at Old Trafford.
Cope go on to say that no deal has officially been signed yet, probably due to a respect there between managers; with Louis van Gaal still having a year left on his contract.
If Van Gaal does go, Jose Mourinho would have to be the man to take over. The self-proclaimed Special One has been craving the Manchester United job for years, and it seems there is no better time to appoint him than this summer, particularly if United go trophy-less this season.
