Manchester United Football Club clearly don’t have any plans to sell David de Gea anytime soon, but obviously, with rumours constantly linking him with a move away, the club will be looking around and eyeing their replacement. According to The Sun, its not that big name you’d expect.
The English publication say that Manchester United would be prepared to take somewhat of a gamble, and make Kasper Schmeichel their new number one; following the footsteps of his legendary father, Peter.
Schmeichel has been in fantastic form for Leicester since they gained promotion to the Premier League, and he has certainly been one of the main reasons as to why they are currently still in the race to take the title.
At 29 he’s the perfect age for a goalkeeper, and with plenty of experience under his belt, he could well be ready for a move to one of the biggest clubs in world football.
