Manchester United have imposed transfer ban on Louis van Gaal for this January

January is always notoriously tough to bring new players into a club in, as the season is already in full swing. However according to The Mirror, Manchester United won’t even have the chance to bring any new faces in, as the club have imposed a transfer ban on the Iron Tulip.

The English publication say that the reasoning behind the decision is that the Manchester United hierarchy think that Louis van Gaal might not be in charge come the summer, and it’d be a huge risk letting him spend money on players that the new manager may not like.

I’d take this one with a pinch of salt for now, because in his press conference today, Louis van Gaal was adamant that he is actively searching for targets, although it might be hard for him to persuade any of them to join in January.
