Manchester United Football Club clearly have big plans to sign a marquee player this summer, with Louis van Gaal looking to bring in that huge name, that could attract several other world class players into Old Trafford over the next few years.
According to the Spanish media outlet Sport, Manchester United could well be on their way to doing just that, as they say that Edward Woodward has already made a huge offer to land Real Madrid’s star attacking midfielder, James Rodriguez.
The Columbian is without doubt one of the best players in the world in his position, and he’d be a fine signing if Manchester United can somehow lure him away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
However it will certainly be hard, and considering that Real Madrid have been hit with a two-window transfer ban when it comes to signing players, they’ll surely want to keep hold of as many as their star names as possible.
